The Refuge Orphanage

Honduras is the second poorest country in Central America, and one of the poorest in the Western Hemisphere. Child labor has also become a serious problem in this Central American country. With adoption policies changing, adoptions have decreased while the number of orphans has increased, thereby straining the limited resources

Global Partners in Life is thankful to work with The Refuge Orphanage near San Pedro Sula, Honduras.  The orphanage was founded by a husband-and-wife team of Roger and Maria.  Together they started preparing the property for children in 2005, and in 2007 they received their first orphan.

Roger and Maria are focused on getting to know the children and their strengths.  Also, they want the children to have a wonderful education.  If the children are not doing well in school, they explore other types of education for the children like trade schools.  Whatever can be done to help the children to have an education/skill and become independent is great with Roger and Maria.

Chicken Coops Provide
Sustainable Food and Income

Building chicken coops will enable our partners in Honduras to become more sustainable by selling eggs, while also providing food and teaching responsibility to the orphans.

We have worked with several individuals and schools to help raise funds to build more coops along with supplies.

You can help us to provide supplies to build by donating today!
